Customer Service Clerk
About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at our Janesville, WI Service Center. The primary responsibilities include maintaining a positive relationship with customers, assisting customers and other R & L employees in tracking and monitoring freight movement, using customer retention techniques, resolving issues, and promoting company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Daily freight tracing with customers
- Aiding other terminals in freight-related issues
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong communication/telephone skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to deal with potentially stressful situations
- General office and customer service experience
- Basic knowledge or Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products
- Ability to type 30+ WPM
- PREFERRED: 2+ years of experience as a clerk or similar role in a fast-paced environment
- Freight logistics experience
