Customer Service Bus Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a transit bus on assigned routes throughout our service area.
• Provide exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming environment for all riders.
• Aid passengers with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
• Represent The Rapid and your Union with pride and professionalism.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake Endorsements.
• Possess a valid Michigan Driver's license with less than 4 points.
• Ability to pass and maintain a DOT physical.
• Be drug-free.
• Maintain an excellent driving record.
• Ability to interpret and follow run guidelines for assigned routes.
• High school diploma or GED.
• The ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee and customer safety.
• Able to safely secure mobility devices in accordance with FTA rules for ADA passengers.
• Minimum of one year related experience.
