Customer Service / Bartender - Part Time

About the role

We're Scissors & Scotch (scissors as in hair, scotch as in booze) looking for a passionate Customer Service Associate (Lounger) to join our team. In this position, you act like air traffic control, assisting clients with booking appointments, checking in/out, preparing craft drinks or coffee, and maintaining a fun, welcoming environment while supporting the barber and stylist team.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, reschedule, and cancel appointments
• Maintain an efficient schedule to maximize each day for barbers and stylists
• Notify grooming staff when a client has arrived
• Check out clients after an appointment
• Learn to make and serve signature drinks in the lounge (must be TABC certified)
• Communicate with grooming staff regarding potential client issues and alert leadership if necessary
• Monitor appointment timeliness and ensure the schedule runs on time
• Make scheduling alterations to get things back on track when delays occur
• Greet and thank clients upon arrival and departure
• Offer drinks, answer questions, start conversations, and create relationships
• Run the bar during non-peak times when a bartender is not scheduled
• Create new client profiles
• Answer phone calls and emails
• Assist with membership questions and set‑up
• Take detailed notes in client profiles to personalize every experience
• Handle issues with professionalism and courtesy
• Take and prepare drink orders
• Check out product purchases
• Maintain an extremely clean and tidy space

Requirements

• TABC certification (required to make and serve signature drinks)

Pay

$17.00/hour starting pay plus commission
