About the role
Savings Bank of Walpole is seeking a motivated and experienced banking professional to join their award-winning customer service retail banking team. They were recently named one of “American Banker’s Best Banks to Work for” for their 8th consecutive year.
Primary responsibilities
- Maintains a working knowledge of banking products and services while promoting them to the customer
- Demonstrates openness and willingness to switch between the teller and customer service positions as the needs arise
- Completes individual and business account deposit/withdrawal transactions, account opening and maintenance activities including checking, savings and time deposits
- Provides a professional customer service experience while obtaining new business opportunity referrals through needs-based inquiry
- Responds to questions and resolve problems or concerns for customers effectively and efficiently
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year experience in customer service and/or cash handling role
- Experience utilizing software applications to perform customer service duties
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to work rotating Saturdays
- Able to travel between branch locations as needed
- Prior bank teller transaction knowledge a plus but not required

Starting pay begins at $21.63 per hour and is negotiable based on level of experience.
