Customer Service Associate - Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide accurate information regarding products, services, and policies.
• Aid customers with order processing, returns, and exchanges.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions using computerized systems.
• Conduct outbound calls to follow up on customer inquiries or feedback.
• Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling products based on customer needs.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English is required; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Previous experience in customer support or service roles is preferred (but not required).
• Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate various software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Able to work effectively in an office environment while managing multiple tasks.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure are crucial for success in this role.

Qualifications

Key qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and a strong background in customer service or a related field. Training will be provided.

The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, in-person in Granite City at 1301 W First St., Granite City, IL 62040.
