Customer Service Associate - Floater (Nassau & Suffolk Branches)

Dime Commercial Bank (Dime) is hiring a Customer Service Associate (CSA) – Floater to work at its Huntington Branch in Long Island, serving branches in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The CSA will handle deposit and withdrawal transactions, respond to customer inquiries, issue money orders, cash advances, and cashier’s checks, and manage the opening, closing, and servicing of the bank’s deposit and consumer loan products.

Responsibilities

• Provide account services to all Dime customers.
• Expedite deposit and withdrawal transactions accurately.
• Reconcile cash drawer by verifying cash transactions, counting, and packaging currency and coins.
• Process night deposit bags.
• Deliver in‑depth knowledge of Dime products and services to meet customers’ financial needs.
• Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Report under Bank Secrecy Act requirements (Currency Transaction Report, Suspicious Activity Report, and Dime internal Suspicious Activity Tracking Report).
• Respond to inbound Dime customer inquiries.
• Support branch manager’s business development efforts through in‑branch sales, phone outreach, and direct mailing campaigns.
• Perform new account and file maintenance reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity for SOX 404 compliance.
• Review, submit, process, and close consumer loan requests.
• Make decisions within authority (e.g., overdrafts, overrides, signature guarantees) when managers are absent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum 2 years retail banking experience (preferred).
• Cash‑handling experience (preferred).

Pay

Hourly wage ranges from $20 to $29. Exact pay varies based on skills, experience, training, licenses/certifications, language needs, and location.
