About the role

The Customer Service Associate delivers products to customers from Sherwin-Williams branches using Company vans or pick-up trucks. This role ensures deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. The associate is responsible for receiving and preparing orders, safely moving and loading products, providing customer service, monitoring inventory, and operating color retrieval and paint mixing equipment as needed.

This is a part-time position. The work schedule aligns with the branch's hours of operation: Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Specific working hours will be determined based on business needs and are subject to change.

Job duties involve contact with customers, including minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. A review of criminal history is required to protect the business, its operations, reputation, and the safety of customers and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Load and unload products from deliveries
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and other material handling tools
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone
  • Process sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and procedures
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensure the stockroom is organized
  • Operate color retrieval and paint mixing machine equipment as needed
  • Comply with inventory control procedures and assist with physical inventory process
  • Complete Monthly and Quarterly Safety Training

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: As listed above under Requirements
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • High School diploma or GED
    • At least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts)
    • At least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales
