Customer Service Associate

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving issues.
• Register sales on assigned cash register, process cash, change, voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Recommend items, trade‑up or companion products to customers.
• Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves; take inventory and keep records.
• Check‑in and price merchandise as directed.
• Implement asset‑protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws for regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain promotional, seasonal, and sale displays; complete resets and revisions.
• Assist with food‑item separation and product placement according to policy; rotate consumable items using FIFO.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster prints, creative machine, and suggestive selling of photo products.
• Handle web pick‑up orders: monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, and deliver to customers.
• Assist with interior and exterior store maintenance to ensure a clean, orderly appearance.
• Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful coworker relationships, and complete special assignments as directed.
• Attend training and complete required PPLs as assigned by manager or corporate.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of retail experience.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Pay

Salary range: $15 – $17.50 per hour (actual compensation depends on geography, skills, education, experience, and other factors).
