Customer Service Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient checkout service; register sales on assigned cash register, handle cash, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance with products and services, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Model and share customer‑service best practices, including interpersonal habits (greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (proactive help, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied).
• Recommend items for sale, including trade‑up and companion products.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and well‑merchandised; take inventory, maintain records, check in and price merchandise as directed.
• Implement company asset‑protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
• Construct and maintain displays (promotional, seasonal, super‑structures, sale merchandise) and complete resets and revisions as directed.
• Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies; rotate consumable stock using FIFO method.
• Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine usage, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
• Handle web pick‑up responsibilities: monitor orders in Picture Care Plus, pick items, and deliver orders to customers arriving in‑store.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Attend training and complete required PPLs as requested by the manager or corporate.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.

Pay

Salary Range: $15 – $17.50 per hour.
