About the Role

The Customer Service Associate serves as the frontline and first point of contact for external customers. UPC prides itself on excellent customer service. It is critical that this role always conducts friendly, professional, and prompt communication both with external customers and internal staff. This role serves customers daily by providing product, order, shipping, and service information. The Customer Service Associate should build relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities. The position requires thorough knowledge of UPC products within the first few months of employment. Customer Service Associates handle all administrative duties that facilitate the order entry process.

Work Environment

Office environment with the following equipment:

• Multi-line phone system
• Copy machine

Proficiency in the following software is required:

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Adobe
• ERP systems (experience helpful)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or related role
• Extremely detail-oriented, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, stressful situations, and deadline pressures
• Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on Excel, Office, and Word
• Strong aptitude working in an ERP system, such as Odoo, or other related systems
• Ability to learn and master UPC’s internal order entry system
