Customer Service Agent, Cross Functional (Part-Time)

About the role

We are excited to have you join our team at Piedmont Airlines! Our mission is to provide exceptional service to our customers and airline partners through our Ground Handling Department. As a Customer Service Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and passenger satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
• Maintain computerized passenger boarding systems
• Provide assistance to customers with special needs, such as wheelchair arrangements and unaccompanied minors
• Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary
• Operate the Jetway and load/unload baggage and cargo
• Drive motorized service vehicles and equipment
• Guide and park aircraft
• Perform cabin maintenance tasks
• Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives

Requirements

• Successfully complete the Customer Service Agent training course
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds
• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications and Competencies

• Completion of a training course
• Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a dynamic environment
• Effective communication skills
• Organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous airline experience
• Previous front-line customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Physical Requirements

• Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting up to 70 pounds, and climbing stairs
• Assist passengers with disabilities, including pushing wheelchairs

Work Environment

• Use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment
• Working at airport ramps, exposed to varying weather conditions and elevated noise levels
• Irregular shifts including weekends, nights, holidays, and other irregular hours
