About the role

This position is 100% in office. The employee will work their scheduled work hours in a designated WesBanco location, with consideration for the Arbutus Banking Center.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service while identifying sales opportunities and performing account transactions.
  • Respond to the immediate needs of the Banking Center by proactively providing both Customer Service Representative (CSR) and sales platform support.
  • Build consumer and business relationships, focusing on promotion of the Bank's products and services.
  • Comply with all established Bank policies, procedures, and security measures.
  • Operate as a CSR, open new deposit accounts, and connect with customers to determine their needs, making recommendations and referrals for products and services.
  • Initiate outbound telephone calls focused on customer onboarding, prospecting new Retail customers, and promoting bank products for new and existing relationships.
  • Participate in community service opportunities in the specific community or market.
  • Model the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge.
  • Assess the financial needs of customers, make recommendations, and refer customers to business partners for promotion of bank products and services.
  • Process all financial service transactions accurately.
  • Open new deposit accounts, operate a cash drawer, and follow proper balancing and cash handling procedures.
  • Uncover opportunities for additional products and services and make qualified referrals.
  • Comply with security and audit procedures.
  • Achieve production and referral goals through relationship development activities, including customer consultations, outbound calls, and business partner referrals.
  • Communicate and partner effectively with branch staff to promote a team environment and meet goals.
  • Monitor performance against banking center goals and adjust activities as needed.
  • Execute consistent outbound calling activities using customer lists.
  • Promote bank products and make appropriate business line referrals as defined by location goals.
  • Educate the bank team on uncovering opportunities to advance customers' financial wellness.
  • Support day-to-day operations, including customer service, open and close procedures, vault duties, cash control, inventory management, and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Actively participate in regular staff meetings.
  • Provide service to customers and prospective customers on various banking matters, including explaining products and resolving issues professionally.
  • Build successful working relationships with internal business partners and seek constructive peer feedback.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making by following established guidelines and utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Maintain prescribed security controls to protect against criminal and fraudulent operations.
  • Keep all sensitive information and customer business confidential and secure.
  • Contribute to a team environment by answering incoming telephone calls and performing additional duties to support the Banking Center.

Skills

  • Business Development: Ability to generate new financial relationships through outbound calling, internal business development, and building a loyal customer base.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to effectively interact, build positive customer relationships, and clearly express concepts, ideas, and product information verbally and in writing.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of products for the level of selling and promotion expected in the position.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and flexibility.
  • Mathematical Skills: Sound mathematical and analytical skills preferred.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one year of banking experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of cash handling, sales, and customer service experience preferred.

Pay

The wage range for this position is $18.50 - $21.50 per hour, with eligibility for approved overtime and referral incentives.
