Customer Sales & Service Representative

About the role

Since 1923, we’ve been committed to always having the right part in stock and delivering it to customers when they need it. You’ll provide expert assistance to customers, building ongoing business relationships through repeated contact and consultation. This role is a great starting point for growth toward sales or management careers, with clear advancement paths and success stories.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
- Clarify customer needs, research solutions, and recommend parts (after training).
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
- Process quotes, take orders, and provide post-order service.
- Occasionally use mechanical aptitude to help solve customer problems or troubleshoot processes.
- Support customers experiencing costly equipment breakdowns by quickly providing the right parts or solutions.
Requirements
- Self-motivated with a desire to exceed expectations.
- Strong prioritization, multitasking, and sense of urgency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar.
- Ability to build rapport and solid relationships with diverse customers.
Qualifications
- 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
- Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Comfortable with computers, including Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and Google search.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR).
- SAP/ERP experience preferred but not required.
- Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay
Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications, with added incentives earned based on performance.
