Customer Sales & Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assistance to a wide variety of customers' questions and problems.
• Build ongoing business relationships with customers through repeated contact and consultation.
• Utilize mechanical aptitude to help solve customer problems or troublesome processes.
• Avoid costly equipment breakdowns by quickly and efficiently providing the right parts and/or solutions.
• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify customers' needs, do research, and (after you get up to speed) recommend parts.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and meet / exceed monthly sales goals.

Requirements

• Self-motivated and driven by a desire to exceed expectations.
• Strong prioritization and multitasking skills, a sense of urgency, and take pride in verbal and written communication.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport and build solid relationships with a wide variety of customers are critical.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone, and written skills, including English grammar.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Enjoy working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search engine.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP / ERP experience, preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay

Starting Salary: In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated total compensation for this position is $19-$21/hour depending on experience, including potential bonus opportunities. Bonus amounts can be tied to company, location and/or individual performance, but no specific amount is guaranteed.
