Customer Sales Executive
About the role
As a Customer Sales Executive at White Star Logistics, you will be the primary point of contact for our key accounts, ensuring their satisfaction and driving business growth. You'll leverage our inbound lead flow while strategically expanding our market share using your existing customer relationships. This role offers a unique blend of account management and new business development, allowing you to maximize your earning potential. Your existing client portfolio will accelerate our growth.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your existing portfolio of logistics clients to generate new business opportunities for White Star Logistics.
- Manage a portfolio of existing key accounts, nurturing relationships and exceeding customer expectations.
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other outreach strategies.
- Respond to and manage RFQs and RFPs, creating compelling proposals that showcase White Star Logistics' expertise.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any customer issues.
- Track shipment movements and provide proactive updates to customers.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize transportation management software and CRM systems to manage accounts and track progress.
Qualifications
- Established portfolio of existing logistics customers.
- 3+ years of experience in truckload freight (dry van, reefers, flatbeds), including pricing, carrier sales & procurement, and customer operations.
- 5+ years of experience in a B2B sales environment, demonstrating the ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and close deals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
- A positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a desire to succeed.
