Customer Rewards Specialist

About the role

Pet Food Experts has over 80 years of history, growing from a small family-run business to the nation's leading pet specialty distributor serving more than 10,000 pet retail locations nationwide. The Rewards Specialist processes daily digital rewards redemptions via email and Astro submission, sorts and processes physical coupons, vouchers, frequent buyer cards, and consumer return forms from all Distribution Center locations, and supports retailers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate rewards processing.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately sort physical forms in preparation for processing or scanning to create digital backup documentation
• Accurately key specific fields in the Digital File Manager program
• Process invoices for coupons, frequent buyer, consumer returns, and employee feed credits by brand and customer via data entry from physical or digital backup documentation
• Process Astro submissions, troubleshoot dropped lines, and review batch credits
• Communicate daily with retailers, vendors, and interdepartmentally, primarily via email and occasionally over the phone, to problem solve and support all forms of Rewards processing
• Maintain high data entry focus with the ability to understand and execute vendor guidelines, identify coupon discrepancies, and detect fraudulent submissions using supporting documentation
• Demonstrate strong initiative and self-direction with a commitment to results
• Manage daily tasks to maximize productivity and ensure optimal organization
• Stay current on product catalog including descriptions, case quantities, discontinued items, and product substitutions using provided reference materials
• Apply established processes and procedures to aid in decision making
• Handle specializations such as Astro processing, digital processing, email sorting and distribution, physical mail sorting and scanning, and physical redemption processing as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
• Professional telephone, email, and interpersonal etiquette
• Strong computer proficiency, including Google Suite and beginner Excel experience

Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM, 4 days in office, 1 day work from home per week
