Customer Portfolio Manager, Broadcom Software

About the role

As a Customer Portfolio Manager (CPM), you will support a team of Account Directors to maximize retention, minimize churn risk, and drive growth inside Broadcom’s software book of business. You will engage with key decision-makers and cross-functional teams to uncover roadblocks and ensure on-time renewals while maintaining an accurate forecast. This is a quota-carrying position located in Broadcom's office in Plano, TX, with an expectation to be in the office every day.

Responsibilities

  • Work with account owners to optimize license purchases based on current need and forecasted growth, rationalize and consolidate software purchases where applicable, and establish appropriate contract term length
  • Generate standard documents and quotes through the Oracle CPQ tool and guide account owners on structuring profitable, compliant deals and accelerating deal closures within the Oracle system
  • Take a hands-on approach to complex situations or escalations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
  • Secure and document required approvals for price discounts, contractual terms, and payment terms in line with published sales and business policies
  • Manage end-of-quarter deal reviews with key stakeholders to efficiently handle contracting
  • Collaborate with business units, legal, systems testing, and bookings/finance to eliminate rework and produce comprehensive quotes
  • Contribute to team and management on special ad-hoc projects as requested
  • Evaluate current processes, offer recommendations, and implement solutions for areas of improvement to ensure revenue-generating activities are prioritized
  • Proactively review datasets to ensure overall forecast hygiene
  • Become an expert on Oracle CPQ quoting tools, review and enforce revenue recognition compliance for all quoting, and serve as an escalation point for account owners and Managing Directors
  • Facilitate and/or assist in training new and existing team members on system updates and changes
  • Provide a holistic viewpoint in strategic account discussions, bringing forward the varying aspects of the business (e.g., Product, Legal, and Finance)

Qualifications

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume renewal environment
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to apply to software renewals, rationalization, and cost optimization strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely, and articulate ideas verbally and in writing
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Prior experience in Renewals, Customer Success, Account Management, or Sales
  • Proficiency in CRM software and CPQ quoting (Oracle ideally)
  • Enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a relentlessly positive attitude

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant years' experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
  • 12+ years of related experience in a technology-focused role required

Pay

The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is USD 154,700.00 to USD 247,500.00. OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents and salary. In addition, you may be eligible to receive a competitive new hire equity grant and annual equity awards, directly connecting your success to the company's growth. All subject to relevant plan documents and award agreements.
