Customer Performance Analytics Intern

About the Role

The Analytics Intern will gain exposure to the practice of analytics within a public company Data & Analytics department, supporting the customer analytics function that enables data-driven decision making across the Upbound enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Support the translation of complex customer datasets into meaningful insights and recommendations for stakeholder partners
• Assist in producing executive-ready presentations, recommendations, and business narratives
• Contribute to leveraging data storytelling, visualization, and business communication to influence audiences
• Gain exposure to customer journey data models, transaction data, clickstream event data, CRM, and enterprise customer datasets
• Participate in aligning customer analytics priorities with strategic business objectives
• Help improve standards for analytical methodologies, data quality, documentation, validation, prioritization, and project management

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree program, having completed the first or second year of college
• Strong academic performance with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Demonstrated interest in analytics, computer science, data science, or data engineering

Skills

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort speaking in front of large audiences
• Proven leadership potential through academic achievement, internships, campus involvement, athletics, military service, or extracurricular activities

Work Location

Ability to work in our corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas, throughout the entire ten-week summer intern program.
