About the role

Weis Markets is seeking a Customer Experience Associate who values respect, teamwork, and community growth. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Smile and greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Follow company policies for customer checkout to enhance satisfaction.
  • Operate front-end scanning equipment and cash register, including bagging merchandise and assisting customers with carts.
  • Maintain transaction accuracy, ensuring correct charges and proper fund collection (cash, checks, electronic payments, coupons).
  • Adhere to cash drawer security and accounting procedures to prevent overages or shortages.
  • Follow store and legal guidelines for tobacco and alcohol sales.
  • Stay informed about weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to assist customers effectively.
  • Maintain department sanitation, including cleaning schedules, equipment, counters, and displays to meet health and OSHA standards.
  • Dispose of trash properly and ensure a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to support smooth store operations and continuously improve job performance.
  • Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (completed or in progress).
  • No prior experience required.

Pay

Hourly pay for this position starts at $15.00 and goes up to $22.00.
