Customer Delivery Specialist II

About the role

A Customer Delivery Specialist is needed to join Nalco Water's logistics team in Placentia, CA. The position involves delivering Nalco equipment to customer locations, operating various vehicles and equipment, and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles including 22-ft dual axel delivery trucks.
• Deliver, unload, and exchange Nalco equipment at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot Nalco equipment, including changing filters, exchanging tanks, or UV replacements.
• Make between 2-10 customer deliveries per day as needed.
• Maintain trucks and equipment in a safe and operable condition by performing daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts to maneuver equipment at warehouse and customer locations.
• Maintain driver's hours of service by using Teletrac and/or paper logbook reporting.
• Communicate with sales and supervisors to report field problems and/or safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery location maps.
• Wear appropriate safety gear at all times during delivery operations.
• Stay updated on safety techniques and continuously improve driving and safety skills.
• Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Minimum 3 years of an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Twice-yearly drug/alcohol testing may be required for certain customer-facing roles.

Schedule

Pre-determined delivery schedules. Must have flexible start and end times based on customer needs.
