Job Summary

Dominion Energy seeks an entry level position in Customer Contact Operations Center. This role represents Dominion Energy as the central point of contact for billing, payment, credit, rates, and service requests. Duties include utilizing customer information systems, responding to inquiries, generating service order requests, assisting with credit difficulties, negotiating payment plans, and promoting programs available to customers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 0-2 years related experience, preferably in Customer Service or Contact Center
  • Good command of the English language, including spelling and grammar, and ability to relay information by phone or in writing
  • Bilingual Spanish skills a plus
  • Basic desktop computer proficiency, typing skills, and ability to utilize and navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Knowledge and experience using MS 365 applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to deal with difficult customer situations, assess requests/problems, and determine appropriate action with follow-through
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge demonstrating basic understanding of billing, rates, credit, energy usage, and customer accounts
  • Able to work an 8-hour or 10-hour shift, including nights, weekends, and times of emergency response
  • Able to arrive on-site work location within one hour
  • Able to meet identified skills and knowledge assessment targets to successfully complete all training

Minimum Education Required

High School/GED
