About the role
This position involves managing customer care and scheduling within a healthcare office setting, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage customer care procedures and serve as the point of contact for client/customer relations.
- Support and use technology tools to ensure proper business processes for scheduling and care coverage.
- Schedule staff to meet client care needs and minimize non-billed overtime.
- Ensure on-call phone and assigned staff are properly trained and available as needed.
- Assist with billing and coding management.
- Assist with the intake of new clients and inform potential clients about services and benefits of BrightStar.
- Assist in the development of organization goals and agency performance improvement activities.
- Administer agency policies and procedures.
- Assist the Director of Nursing with assessing staff competency to promote quality, continuity, and safety of client care.
- Supervise, educate, and coach field personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Provide information for statistics, reports, and records for evaluation and reporting of organization activities.
- Ensure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
- Answer office phones, including being placed in an "on-call" rotation after normal business hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Customer Care/Scheduling Manager and/or managing customer service within a healthcare office setting.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare office regulations.
- College degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organization, time management, planning, and project management skills.
- Valid driver's license and vehicle with insurance.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, with on-call availability as needed.
Pay
$50,000 per year.
