Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day customer relationship owner and primary contact for the customer buyer.
- Provide management and oversight to the Winland broker network where applicable.
- Proactively sell and customize the Winland value proposition for each customer.
- Own the accurate demand plan (forecasting) and address gaps to the Customer Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Drive all business inputs for the creation and delivery of the Customer AOP at a category level.
- Deliver the customer and region AOP.
- Develop customer and region sales and pricing initiatives aligned to Winland’s key business initiatives.
- Enhance and deliver Winland’s profitability goals at the customer/region level.
- Collaborate with Insights and Analytics to identify whitespace opportunities and develop annual plans to capture them.
- Partner with Winland’s commercialization team to identify innovation, packaging, and assortment opportunities for assigned customers and regions.
- Clearly communicate customer requests across the organization.
- Analyze customer data and identify actions to drive positive business performance for both Winland and the customer.
- Develop and execute the customer trade spend strategy.
- Work effectively within Winland’s Integrated Planning System (WIPS) to manage trade spend.
- Provide strategic and financial recommendations for bids, trade management, and total customer growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to facilitate customer plan delivery.
- Develop and execute bid strategy for optimal customer/Winland outcomes.
- Work with the Customer Data Specialist (CDS) to create and enter product opportunities into the Product Portfolio Management System (PPM), ensuring customer expectations are clearly defined.
- Deliver business improvements against customer-supplier scorecard metrics.
- Engage director/commercial leadership to support customer initiatives.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reduce or eliminate Damages, Distressed, or Donated products (DDD) and understand key drivers to mitigate future product obsolescence risk.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of business experience in sales or a related field.
- Broker or Key Account Management experience with large or multiple accounts; ability to influence third-party partners to achieve profitable results.
- Category leadership experience.
- Ability to transform insights and analytics into customized strategic account plans to drive growth.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with effective relationship-building capabilities.
- Strong business analytical skills—ability to use data to drive product and pricing strategies and understand their impact on production forecasts.
- Solid financial acumen—understanding of P&L and price implications to optimize customer bid strategies and trade funding management.
- Fluency in Power BI, SAP, SharePoint, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong customer interaction and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, skilled at multitasking, prioritization, and communicating AOP performance to stakeholders at varying organizational levels.
- Strong cross-functional and team coordination/collaboration skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities; resourcefulness to improve long-term customer relationships.
- Capable of building strong internal and external relationships to achieve desired customer outcomes.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
