Customer Billing Supervisor
About the role
Directs and defines activities of the Addressing Regional Structure Team. Includes interaction with internal and external electric and gas customers. Resolves addressing and technical master data issues.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including Legal, Rates and Regulatory, IT Finance and Planned Accounting, Data Quality Assurance, Electric and Gas New Service Consultants, Electric and Gas Operations, Tax Department, Exception Billing Group, and Call Center.
- Work closely with external stakeholders including electric and gas customers, city officials, county officials, and government entities.
- Work closely with Regulatory and city officials for franchise fee analysis reporting.
- Quality control for SAP Technical Master Data to ensure rates, franchise fees, and taxes are accurate.
- Key Control auditing for the annexation process.
- Lead, conduct, support initiatives, capital projects, annexations, and new territory acquisitions.
- Work closely with IT to create requirements and user stories for system modification, testing and implementation.
- Collaborate across the company to streamline best practices.
- Aid in preparation and monitoring of budget and expenses.
- Continuously improve best practices for policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a general knowledge of electrical and gas systems and customer service policies involving billing issues.
- Respond to PUC (Public Utility Complaints) and Railroad Commission complaints in both written and oral media to provide detailed and concise information.
- Utilize SAP and Microsoft applications such as IE Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Power BI.
- Perform SAP scripting.
- Utilize various activity reports to manage and plan job activities and responsibilities.
- Conduct and monitor activities trend analysis.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coach and develop employees, provide employee guidance, counsel, and maintain proper documentation, as necessary.
- Interface with internal and external customers addressing issues.
- Perform safety audits and employee activities.
- Track, analyze and monitor system errors.
- Lead and organize Disaster Recovery system testing.
- Provide business case for process improvement/enhancements.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of experience with demonstrated success in managing complex business relationships. A general knowledge of both electrical and gas distribution PUCT and RailRoad Commission regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required. Area: Business or Science related field. Equivalent work-related experience or combination of education and work-related experience may be substituted for degree.
Skills
