The Role
The Customer Accounts Manager drives the success of Aaron’s stores by leading the customer accounts department with the primary goal of achieving company standards for collections and lease renewals. Key responsibilities include connecting and relating well to people, assisting the General Manager with operational functions, building authentic customer relationships, managing the collections process, and performing various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Attain and maintain customers' accounts, updating customer information in the store computer system and documenting all payment appointments.
- Assist the General Manager with account recommendations, payment frequency, and payment history monitoring.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to support their ownership goals and drive sales.
- Manage the collections process by counseling customers to gain timely lease/merchandise renewals.
- Review and close lease agreements, confirming customer identification, collecting money, and obtaining customer signatures.
- Contact customers who have not renewed merchandise agreements and maintain them through phone calls and home visits.
- Update customer information and ensure accuracy.
- Manage the accounts department staff to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Clean and certify merchandise in the cleaning station for all merchandise personally returned.
- Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance sheets and route sheets daily.
- Load, secure, and protect products in the company vehicle.
- Safely operate the company vehicle.
- Aid the Sales Team as needed.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a valid state Driver’s License and compliance with the Company’s Driver Qualification Policy, including a satisfactory MVR.
- Ability to work varying hours from 8 am to 9 pm.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without help and up to 300 lbs. with a dolly.
- Two years of college or two years of previous management experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High energy with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proper telephone etiquette.

- Proficient computer skills.
