Custom Software Engineer

About the role

Our Fortune 500 client, one of the world’s leading companies based in Plano, TX, is seeking a motivated Custom Software Engineer to join their innovative team onsite. This is a 12+ month contract role with high possibilities of extension.

Responsibilities

• Safe Agile trained
• Experience in UX Design
• Experience leading or coaching team members in an Agile scrum environment
• User-centered design experience with hands-on involvement throughout the process, from user research to developing prototypes and collaborating on implementation
• Deliver wireframes, UX flows, mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications, final assets, personas, and use case development
• Expertise with prototyping/animation tools such as Principle, Azure, Figma, or equivalent
• Ability to quickly understand distinct user groups and iterate solutions to their needs
• Understand design systems, information architecture, design patterns, and interaction design
• Work with cross-functional teams, partnering with users, product owners, business analysts, and development teams to deliver business value
• Familiarity and ability to promote and manage usability testing and user research efforts
• Expert knowledge with design/wireframing software such as Sketch, Adobe Suite, or equivalent
• Create designs that balance user needs with key business metrics like performance, conversion, and retention
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, executives, and other designers to build scalable solutions that improve the user experience
• Create process flows, wireframes, mockups, and functional prototypes to communicate design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors
• Contribute to the product roadmap with ideas for evolving and iterating the user experience based on quantitative data and user research
• Work with product owners and cross-functional teams to design test options and utilize A/B testing to validate solutions
• Design landing pages and site interactions to segment users, convey product benefits, and drive trial conversion

Requirements

• UX Design using Figma
• Experience with Miro
• Experience with UserTesting or similar research platforms
• Experience with Qualtrics or survey tools
• Proficiency with Jira / ADO
• Experience with Confluence
• Proficiency with Excel / reporting tools
• Proficiency with PowerPoint / executive presentation tools
• Experience with Lovable app
• Figma at P5 – Master level
