Custom Framing Manager

Major Activities

  • Lead and coach a team of framers focusing on building customer relationships and creating custom framing solutions.
  • Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions for their art.
  • Develop and coach the team to sell effectively.
  • Plan workload in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver high-quality custom framing solutions on time.
  • Achieve individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
  • Manage and execute shrink and safety programs.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
  • Support with interviewing, on-boarding, coaching, observing, and training of new Team members; participate in Talent Development and Performance Management activities.
  • Participate in the truck un-load and stocking processes to ensure compliance with standards and budget.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to maintain a safe environment.
  • Interact with customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and frames and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

  • Public retail store setting taking care of customers.
  • All public areas are climate controlled.
  • Some stock rooms may not be climate controlled.
  • Some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks.
  • Frame shop contains glass cutter and heat press.
  • Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Minimum Type of Experience Required

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Previous custom framing experience preferred.
  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Experience leading a sales team.
