About the role

Custodians at Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) are integral members of the school community, responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned areas
• Ensure proper maintenance of school facilities
• Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis situations
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
• Pass a background check

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects

Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Attention to detail
