Custodian TN-2nd Shift

About the role

This position reports to Maintenance and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties. The Custodian performs functions associated with cleaning areas of the building and upkeep of grounds surrounding JOST International.

Shift: 6pm–2am

Responsibilities

• Clean front office areas, pods, and bathrooms
• Clean shop floor, bathrooms, break room, and employee entrance
• Run sweeper throughout facility
• Refill soap and restock paper products
• Maintain and inventory cleaning materials on a regular basis
• Proper labeling of chemicals used with SDS
• Proper use and disposal of chemicals
• Report to Supervisor any safety issues or repairs
• Disposal of trash and cardboard
• General clean-up of Patio and Pavilion
• Any additional duties that may be assigned and those logically inherent to the position

Requirements

• Perform all aspects of cleaning
• Prior Custodian/Janitorial experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Prior experience and/or knowledge of sweepers/floor scrubber
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety, and JOST company policies and procedures

Physical Requirements

Work is generally performed in a production/warehouse/office/facilities environment 100% of the time. While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly: stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
