Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

$19.53 per hour
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 6–12 months of experience in building and cleaning maintenance is desirable
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Maintains all school buildings, ensuring a clean and orderly condition by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming classrooms, library, hallways, stairs, cafeteria, gymnasium, and office spaces.
- Spot cleans walls, cleans furniture, white boards, blackboards, glass, windowsills, pencil sharpeners, and empties wastebaskets and recycling receptacles.
- Replaces supplies as needed.
- Thoroughly cleans and disinfects water fountains, bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms; stocks paper towels and toilet paper; removes graffiti.
- Performs other custodial duties as assigned in a professional and efficient manner, using proper equipment and supplies for the job.
- Responsible for summer cleaning including stripping and waxing floors, cleaning lights, washing walls, and cleaning faculty refrigerators.
- Notifies appropriate personnel of need for additional supplies, equipment failure, missing equipment, or building maintenance concerns.
- Assists with maintenance projects as needed; performs minor maintenance repairs such as painting, replacing light bulbs, and changing air conditioner filters.
- Arranges designated facilities for assemblies, programs, and plays, including seating, lighting, audio-visual needs, and other requirements.
- Provides building access to groups for scheduled activities and secures the building once the activity is completed.
- Inspects grounds for debris daily and empties outdoor trash receptacles as needed.
- Cleans and prepares areas for scheduled activities before and after the event.
- Removes snow, spreads ice melt, and cleans up leaves.
- Performs all assigned work in a safe manner, using safety equipment when required and maintaining tools in safe operating condition.
- Complies with District policy, local, state, and federal laws and procedures for the use, storage, and disposal of waste, cleaners, chemicals, and other materials.
- Responds to emergency situations, vandalism, power failure, and storm or water pipe failures.
- Maintains equipment, work space, and job sites in a clean and orderly way; unloads materials, supplies, and equipment when received.
- Directs student, bus, and/or car traffic as required.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
