Keep school buildings and grounds neat and clean, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas. Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash. Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed. Maintenance and Repair Perform preventive maintenance to ensure students' and staff's comfort, health, and safety. Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by the principal. Assist in setting up facilities for special events. Maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping; operate and repair sprinkler systems; and manage snow and ice removal to ensure safe and accessible walkways and parking areas. Safety Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities. Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. **QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** Incumbents must be fingerprinted, and a criminal background check must be cleared.
