Custodian - Part Time

Part-time position, 13 hours per week after school.

About the role

Clean and maintain school facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, whiteboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms according to a set schedule.
• Maintain school buildings and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; request additional supplies as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure comfort, health, and safety of students and staff.
• Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by the principal.
• Assist in setting up facilities for special events.
• Maintain school grounds: mow, trim, landscape, operate and repair sprinkler systems, and manage snow and ice removal.
• Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
• Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Adhere to established safety procedures, including lifting and climbing; operate tools and equipment safely.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check.
• Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required.

Pay

$11 to $13 per hour.
