Custodian - Part-Time

About the role

Collective Montessori School Inc is an independent charter school aiming to provide children with an inclusive, diverse, authentic, and community-centered Montessori education. Our mission is to offer hands-on, real-world, engaging, and exceptional instruction tailored to each individual child, fostering collaboration among home, other students, and school staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and Sanitize School Facilities
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, offices, and common areas to maintain a clean and healthy learning environment
• Maintain Building Safety and Appearance
• Empty trash and recycling, clean windows and floors, replenish restroom supplies, and ensure all school spaces are safe, orderly, and presentable for students, staff, and visitors
• Perform Basic Maintenance and Repairs
• Complete minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door hardware, tightening furniture, changing ceiling tiles, and reporting larger maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel
• Aid with School Operations and Events
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for assemblies, meetings, parent events, and other school activities, ensuring spaces are prepared and restored afterward
• Support Health, Security, and Emergency Preparedness
• Monitor the building for safety hazards, secure doors and windows, respond promptly to spills or emergencies, and follow school procedures for cleaning, safety, and emergency response

• Must be able to pass a background check

Pay

Salary Range: $16-$20, based on experience

Schedule

Two shifts available: 6:00a-10:00a OR 1:00p-5:00p
