Custodian (Onsite)

This position is based on-site at our Chula Vista, CA facility and will be part of the IAM Local 755. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work 1st shift hours Monday – Friday (6:30am-3pm)
• Cleaning, trash removing, and other custodial functions in office, factory, patio and ground areas
• Sweeps, dusts, waxes, polishes, mops, scrubs, removes trash, washes, dries and otherwise cleans factory, office, patio and ground areas, elevators, storage areas, café, equipment, walls, windows (where use of safety belts is not necessary), woodwork, furniture, carpets, toilets, drinking fountains, etc.
• Performs other incidental functions such as replenishing rest room supplies, collecting money from vending machines, etc.
• Uses the necessary equipment, tools and materials required to perform the work described herein
• Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Typically requires High School Diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US)
• Previous Custodial experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Understand how to operate hand and power cleaning equipment
• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions

Pay

The pay range for this role is $24.40 - $52.13. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
