Custodian - Night Porter

About the role

We are seeking a part-time custodian team member to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Join us in creating a clean and welcoming environment for everyone!

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces
• Restocking supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, seat covers, and trash bags
• Emptying trash and recycling bins
• Reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly
• Following safety procedures and performing other tasks as directed by the supervisor

Requirements

• Must successfully pass the HBM prescreen check
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
• Previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, or similar fields is preferred, though not mandatory
• Capable of performing basic manual labor, including:
  • Frequently lifting, pushing, pressing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 25 pounds (up to 50 pounds)
  • Reaching overhead, grasping objects, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching
  • Walking up and down stairways, using elevators, climbing ladders
  • Standing for extended periods throughout shifts
• Strong public relations and communication skills
• A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are preferred, but not essential

Pay

$16.00 to $17.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday–Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• Monday–Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Sunday–Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
