Custodian, Lead (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the Role

Performs various cleaning duties in assigned areas of district buildings or schools in accordance with county health department standards and standards established by site administrators. Monitors the activities and assignments of Custodians.

Requirements

• 5 years or more of custodial experience
• Speak, read, and write in English
• Comprehend graphic/oral instructions in English

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 50lb. lift test
• Mandatory TUSD New-Hire Custodial Training
• Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department

Pay

Salary includes community-approved pay increases guaranteed through June 2031. For more information on the salary schedule, reference the Employee Agreements Webpage. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year
• Location: Sabino High School - Snyder & Harrison
• Full-time: 1.0 FTE – 8 hours per day
• Work Calendar: 12 month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits
• Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position
