About the role

This is a classified custodian position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in school facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Maintain restrooms by replenishing supplies and ensuring sanitary conditions
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and pressure washers
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and reporting facility issues
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as required
• Assist with set-up and clean-up for school events and activities
• Adhere to a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends
