Custodian / Janitor – 1st Shift

About the role

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodian / Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment. This role is responsible for performing routine cleaning and facility maintenance tasks throughout offices, common areas, restrooms, and other workspaces. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can work independently, and is committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and common areas
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and scrub assigned areas
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners
• Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and materials
• Follow established health, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with facility setup and breakdown for meetings or special events as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform additional custodial and maintenance duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and carrying materials
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift

Pay

$18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule

1st Shift | Monday–Friday
