Custodian (Imperial Valley)

San Diego State University Imperial Valley is seeking a service-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. This role performs a variety of custodial, maintenance, and support duties to ensure campus facilities are clean, functional, and ready for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

SDSU Imperial Valley is an integral division of SDSU located 120 miles east of the San Diego Campus. SDSU Imperial Valley Sciences and Engineering Laboratories are in Brawley, CA, providing access to laboratory, classrooms and research facilities and the school of nursing connects our faculty and students with more than 100 community partners throughout San Diego and Imperial Valley. The Brawley location is 24 miles north from Calexico site and also this site is falling with the scope of this position. Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and building entrances.
• Perform floor care, furniture cleaning, trash and recycling removal, and replenishment of restroom supplies.
• Support post-construction cleanup, emergency response cleaning, and special custodial projects.
• Maintain windows, stairwells, exterior walkways, and other campus facilities to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
• Perform deep cleaning projects during campus closures, including floor restoration, carpet cleaning, pressure washing, and room setup.
• Support conferences, special events, and other campus operational needs
