About the Role
This Custodial I position supports campus facilities by providing cleaning, maintenance, and event support services.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning (75%): Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices, and public areas; restock supplies; maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and furniture; report infestations and security concerns.
- Deep Cleaning (15%): Perform thorough sanitation, stripping, waxing, burnishing floors, and use advanced cleaning equipment; transport supplies and waste using college vehicles.
- Event Support (5%): Assist with setup, cleanup, and sanitation during campus events and athletic activities.
- Training & Development (5%): Complete relevant safety, policy, and job-specific training; participate in meetings and professional growth activities.
Requirements
- Minimum six months of custodial experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and tolerate environmental conditions.
- Adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in inclement weather and respond to emergencies.
- Pass background and physical assessments.
