About the role

Maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with Student Union Custodial Standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the student union as assigned by Student Union Custodial Department, which includes but not limited to offices, meeting rooms, public areas, hallways, elevators, stairs, and surrounding areas.
• Be knowledgeable and capable of performing those responsibilities of a Custodial I position.
• Act as the shift leader during their assigned time and area of responsibility; involved in the on-site training of full-time and part-time staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Custodian I: no experience.
• Custodian II: Two years of related work experience.
• Custodian III: Four years of related work experience.

Skills

• Physical strength and ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.

Benefits

• Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice appointment length.

Pay

• Hiring Range: $13.50 - $17.50.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional evenings and weekends.
