About the role

The Custodian at Creighton University’s Retreat Center in Griswold, IA is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various areas including cabins, conference rooms, and outdoor spaces. Duties include laundering bed linens and towels, and performing deep cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Acts as Housekeeper and cleans cabins, conference rooms, and outdoor areas
• Launder bed linens and towels
• Performs deep cleaning of indoor and outdoor spaces on a regular basis
• Regularly stands and walks throughout the day
• Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience helpful but not required

Qualifications

• Ability to work 20 hours per week typically Monday through Thursday
• Occasional flexibility to work Friday through Sunday hours may be needed

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina for manual labor
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
