About the role

Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) is a long-standing provider of facility services across Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island. We are seeking a Custodian to join our team in Waikiki.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas: This includes restrooms and both the interior and exterior of the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness: Responsibilities involve sweeping, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, use of equipment and wiping down surfaces.
• Trash management: Remove and dispose of trash in designated areas.
• Equipment use: Familiarity with pressure wash, leaf blower, stand-behind, ride-on machines, trash compactor, and baler machine is preferred.

Requirements

• Pre-employment screening: Candidates must successfully pass the HBM prescreen check.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Location maintenance duties include: Cleaning restrooms and storage spaces, removing trash and replacing liners, ensuring waste is disposed of properly, restocking supplies, and completing additional tasks as assigned by the HBM supervisor.

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Candidates should be capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching (including overhead), grasping objects, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stooping, stretching, pressing, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting at least 20 pounds.

Skills

• Familiarity with pressure wash, leaf blower, stand-behind, ride-on machines, trash compactor, and baler machine.

Pay

Compensation per hour: $19.00

Schedule

Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
