Custodian for local manufacturing company

About the role

Nashville Wire Products, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry, is growing and accepting resumes for an experienced Custodian / Groundskeeper for our Frankfort, Kentucky location.

Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities are kept clean and in orderly condition
• Regularly cleans and maintains restrooms, lunchrooms, office areas and manufacturing areas
• Trash removal
• Dusting, sweeping, mopping, window cleaning
• Organization of work areas
• Tracking inventory of cleaning supplies

Requirements

• Recent steady work history performing facilities maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) regularly during a 10-hour shift
• Ability to bend and stoop regularly
• Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (plant production areas are not air conditioned)
• Excellent attendance and punctuality required
• Must pass drug screen
• Must pass 7-year background check for misdemeanors and felonies

Schedule

Base Hours are Sunday – Thursday 8:00 pm until 6:30 am

Pay

Base start rate $19.50/hour, $20.75/hour at 90 days, and $22.50/hour at 1 year from full-time hire. Rates do not include $1.00/hour 3rd shift differential.
