Custodian / Bus Driver @ SM High School

About the role

This position involves driving a regular daily bus route (4) hours morning and afternoon, with custodial duties (4) hours and working in the high school (grades 9-12) during the day.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean the bus everyday after use.
• Open the building in the morning and maintain it during the day with students and staff present.
• Daily collection of garbage and recycling.
• Monthly checks of fire extinguishers, lights, electrical panels, and lining the sports fields with marking paint for athletic events.
• Setting up the cafeteria for lunch and cleaning up / dismantling after lunch.
• Coming in early to shovel, snowblow, clear and salt walkways on snow days.

Qualifications

• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
• Must have an active CDL drivers license with S and P endorsements.
• Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug test.

Benefits

This position is an 8 hour per day, 40 hours per week and 260 days per year position (full-time).
