Position is full-time, 40 hours per week, 12 months per year. Two shifts available: Morning (5am – 1:30pm) or Evening (4pm – 12:30am). On call during winter months for snow removal, typically between 5-6am.

About the Role

The Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning of campus buildings, including classrooms, lab rooms, offices, and other assigned areas. The role ensures buildings are clean, safe, functional, and secure to support uninterrupted educational programs. Each custodian is expected to clean 18,000 to 20,000 square feet per building daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of assigned campus buildings, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of classrooms, labs, offices, and common areas.
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests and winter weather duties, such as snow removal.
• Adhere to established cleaning standards and university policies.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Basic understanding of general custodial work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hard floor and carpet maintenance.
• Basic leadership skills.
• Valid Utah driver’s license.

Pay

Annual salary starts at $31,500, with potential for higher compensation based on candidate qualifications.
