Custodian

About the role

The Custodian position at WeatherTech Direct ensures that all interior and exterior areas of assigned work locations are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner for office staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all departments including offices, conference rooms, cafeterias, restrooms, stairwells, parking lot, and other operational areas
• Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, soap dispensers, paper towel dispenser, toilet tissue dispensers, countertops, sinks, fixtures, and mirrors; replenish all toilet tissue, paper towels, and soap
• Wash and disinfect all tables, chairs, kiosks, and floors; dust furniture and fixtures; wash fingerprints from walls, doors, hardware, and glass; clean and polish all stainless steel and chrome; routinely empty wastebaskets and garbage containers
• Maintain the cleanliness of the entrances and exits of the building by keeping them free of garbage, snow, and debris
• Sweep and mop all floors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3 years of prior custodial, building maintenance, or general labor experience
• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, visitors, and other departments within the company
• Fluent in English
• Authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position.

Skills

While not required, candidates with experience in janitorial services, building maintenance, or related fields may be preferred.
