About the role

The Custodian position at Westbrook Public Schools is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school grounds and buildings in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, scrubbers, and mops.
• Assist with special projects and events as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in custodial work preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Physical stamina and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
