Custodian

About the role

The St. Cloud Area Family Y seeks a Custodian to create a quality member experience by maintaining a clean and safe facility.

Responsibilities

• Light and deep cleaning including: vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows, dusting, sanitizing floors, counters, showers, and bathrooms.
• Maintain general and deep cleaning experience, such as running floor scrubbers, stripping, and waxing floors, and scrubbing tile and grout as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate the YMCA core values: Caring, Respect, Honesty, and Responsibility.
• Must have good communication skills with members, staff, and volunteers.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certified within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete New Staff Orientation within 90 days of hire.
• Must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform essential functions of the job.
