Custodian

Responsibilities

• Wearing utility gloves during all cleaning and trash removal procedures, cleans facility according to Disinfection and Cleaning Schedule.
• Checks and replenishes, as needed, paper towels, toilet tissue, liquid soap and Purell in appropriate dispensers, daily.
• Empties all regular wastebaskets and replaces plastic bags, daily.
• Disposes of all trash in dumpster after proper bagging.
• Disposes recyclable trash in proper dumpster.
• Removes all red plastic bags from biohazard containers and stores in designated container, as needed.
• Insures outside steps/walks are clean at all times.
• Picks up all debris outside of building to maintain neat appearance.

Qualifications

• Similar work experience helpful but not essential.
• Work history reflecting dependability essential.
• Ability to read English, comprehend and follow through essential.
• The ability to speak and see clearly, hear and smell is essential.
• Ability to communicate with people of various diverse backgrounds in a sensitive and compassionate way.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
