Full-time, on-site position in the Building Services department.
About the role
Maintains and performs custodial duties within assigned university building area(s).
Responsibilities
- Provide daily general cleaning duties in assigned area that includes classrooms, offices, labs, restrooms, stairwells, and hallways.
- Trash removal.
- Floor care – sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, stripping and refinishing floors, carpet cleaning.
- Assist with special event set-up and removal of tables and chairs.
- Ensure adequate supplies are in stock.
- Perform routine facility and equipment inspections and inform supervisor of needed repairs.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to operate commercial floor care equipment and climb ladders.
- Move, lift, carry, push and pull 10 to 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, materials and equipment.

Pay
$15/hr.
FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime). A background check will be required for employment in this position.
